September is National Recovery Month - a time to celebrate those in recovery and offer support to those who have yet to begin their journey.

Beginning in 1989, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) began to recognize September as National Recovery Month. According to SAMHSA, the month " aims to increase public awareness surrounding mental health and addiction recovery."

Celebrate the power of Recovery! Share Hope. Inspire Others.

Throughout the country, agencies dedicated to serving those who have a substance use disorder (SUD), use the month to educate people on the treatment that is available in their communities and that they are not alone - that there are people to help them every step of the way.
