The 2025-2026 Winter Shelter at Shelterhouse (411 Gest Street, 45203) opens Monday, December 1st. The shelter is open to single individuals experiencing homelessness and runs nightly from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Enter through the Winter Shelter entrance. At the present time there is NO TRANSPORATION AVAILBLE FROM BARRON CENTER.


Food Pantries and General Assistance in Greater Cincinnati


  • The Freestore Food Bank

For upcoming Freestore Food Bank distribution sites, including Holiday meals for pick-up, click HERE. Turkeys will be given out at their Liberty Street Market (112 E. Liberty Street, 45202) through November 26th, while supplies last. Open Mon-Fri from 8 am - 4 pm - the market closes 30 minutes prior to the posted time. Anyone coming in after will be given a holiday meal box. Bring a photo ID. Go to the Freestore Foodbank website for additional information.


  • St. Vincent de Paul

    Their website includes a map of parishes who help people who live in that neighborhood. They also have information about holidays meals, diapers, their charitable pharmacy and other seasonal resources.. Click HERE to learn more.


  • Community Action Agency

    Posts information about their mobile pantry HERE. They also a utility assistance program. Find out more HERE.


  • The United Way

    Click HERE to access their Food Resources Map which includes Greater Cincinnati, NKY and locations just south of Dayton, Oh.


  • Church of our Savior Food Pantry

  • Campout Cupboard and Closet

    Tuesday and Thursdays from 12p - 2:45p at 2950 Sidney Ave. Bring a photo ID.


  • Corinthian Baptist Church Food Pantry

    Fourth Tuesday of the month at 3p. Located at 1920 Tennessee Ave. Call 513-221-7351 or email Info@CBC-C.com for more information.


  • Church of the Advent Food Pantry

    Wednesdays 9:30 am - 12p at 2366 Kemper Lane, Walnut Hills: (513) 961-2100


  • The Healing Center Food Pantry (Vineyard Cincinnati)

    Shop every other week as a guest in The Marketplace. Open during regular serving hours on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings of 9 am to 11 am or Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. If you have never been before click HERE.


  • LIFE - Loveland Food Pantry

    Tuesdays 10a-12p and 4-6:30p at 541 Loveland-Madeira Rd. Go to https://lifefoodpantry.org/ or call 513-583-8222 for more information.


  • CAIN Rainbow Choice Food Pantry

    For those who are food insecure in Northside. Open Mondays 4:30-7p, Tuesdays 9:30a-1p, and Thursdays 9:30a-1p at 4230 Hamilton Ave. Restrictions apply. Find out more at: https://www.cainministry.org/rainbowpantry.html

    Serving those 60+ and homebound in SW Ohio and NKY. Call 513-244-5485 for more information.

  • Piper's Pantry Pop up Event - November 22nd 10am-12p

    Happens November 22nd from 10 am - 12 pm at the Real Life Assembly of God Church, 2300 Old St. Rt 32, Batavia 45103

    Pet goodie bags, food, litter, low cost spay/neuters sign ups, and more. For the pet people, there will be nonperishable pop up bags and the distribution of winter clothing. For more information visit the event's FB page HERE.

  • UCAN Nonprofit Pet Care Clinic
