Seeking Comfort, Comradery or Assistance during the Holidays?

The holidays can be a time of hope and family. It can also be a difficult time for some. Because of this the staff at GCBHS has pulled together multiple resources that might come in handy for those experiencing a crisis or just needing somewhere to go.


If you are having a mental health crisis please call or text 9-8-8. It is an anonymous, free service available 24/7 to connect you to a trained professional who can get you to the help you need.
  • Here is a list of Food Distribution sites which is being updated by Freestore Foodbank.


  • If you need information on The Community Action Agency's Home Relief, Utility Assistance, or Mobile Food Pantry programs, CLICK HERE.



  • ReLink is another resource to to help get you connected with services. Check out their website HERE.


  • HealthSource has a Resource Map to assist people throughout the region, on services such as transportation and housing, as well as food pantries and other basic needs.



  • On 12/24 Good Plates Eatery, 235 West McMillan Street will offer a free meal while supplies last. Doors open at 12 pm.


  • Christmas Lunch on Wheels takes place 12/25 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at The Salvation Army, 131 E. 12th Street. For information go to salvationarmycincinnati.org.



  • For those in recovery, the 33rd annual Alcothon takes place at the Holiday Inn Eastgate. The event starts at 12:01 am 12/24 and runs through 10:30 pm 12/26. For information call 513-752-6129 or 513-505-5475.
