CRC Quick Response Team explains new approach to influence addiction recovery
Clermont Recovery Center Quick Response Team members Jessica Johnson and Jane Steele appear on "Fire Chat", part of the Union Twp. cable channel UTTV to share details of the new venture which encourages individuals to seek recovery treatment following an overdose. Often individuals revived with Narcan refuse treatment. Members of this peer-led team (part of the CRC Outreach Team) accompany an EMT to visit the individual and their family within four days of the overdose to encourage treatment and provide recovery supports. Since the team members are all in recovery, the message has stong impact.
Two months into the program, the team is already seeing success. The team serves all of Clermont County and into Hamilton County if necessary, to support the individual with the recovery process.
