About GCB
Our History

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCB) was formed in July 2004 as a result of a merger of two other mental health agencies, Cincinnati Restoration, Inc. (CRI) and Queen City Case Management (QC/M).

CRI began in 1971 as a residential home for 8 mentally ill persons. By the time of the merger, CRI had expanded its mission and dramatically increased the number of persons served to almost 3,000.

QC/M was founded in 1989 and became the premier provider of intensive case management services for the mentally ill in Hamilton County.

The merger of these two organizations in 2004 created GCB, the most comprehensive mental health agency serving the severely mentally ill in Hamilton County.
