GCB requires that all clients present Insurance Cards at each visit and pay for fixed co-pays.  With the rapidly changing insurance industry it is very important to present all insurance cards at the time of each visit with GCB doctors and Nurses.  This will assist GCB in billing the correct insurance for services rendered and ensure clients are billed correctly for services, if applicable.

What to Expect during the Billing Process at Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services

After you receive services at GCB, we will send a claim to your insurance company to pay your bill.  We will do everything we can do to minimize your

financial burden by maximizing your insurance benefits.

The Billing Process:

How you can help

We process your account based on information provided when you registered with our agency.  We will then bill your insurance company (ies).  Co-payment is expected during your doctor visit.  If you are unsure of your co-pay responsibilities, please look at your insurance card, or call your insurance company.

** What if you forget to bring your insurance information to the appointment?  You will be registered as “self-pay”, which means you are responsible for paying the entire bill.  However, you may call 513-354-7100 to inform us of insurance changes.

When registering, please provide your current insurance information.

We wait for payment from you insurance company.  If payment is not received in a reasonable amount of time, we may contact your insurance company again.

Your insurance company may ask you to provide more information.  If so, please respond quickly, and let us know the information you’ve provided to the insurance company so we can update our records.

We may ask for your assistance if we have a problem processing your claim with your insurance company.

We may ask you to contact your insurance company.

After your insurance company has made payment, we may send you a billing statement from Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services for the remaining balance, if any.

If you do not receive an explanation of benefits (EOB) from your insurance company within 30 days, please contact them to find out status of you claim.

When you receive a billing statement, please pay your bill promptly.

If you have questions about your billing statement or need help with benefits, please call GCB Billing Office, 513-354-7100.
