About GCB
Awards & Accreditations

In 2006, GCB received two National Eli Lilly Re-integration Awards for advocacy and housing.

In 2007, GCB was recognized by the Ohio Department of Mental Health for Clinical Quality Excellence, and received the Cincinnati Human Relations Commission Award for Excellence.

In 2008, and since GCB’s inception, we were awarded a national accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). GCB was awarded a three-year accreditation and received three "exemplary" commendations: one for its comprehensive staff training program; one for clinical transition planning; and one for the excellent diversity teams for specialized populations.

By achieving accreditation through CARF, GCB demonstrated that it meets international standards for quality and is committed to pursuing excellence in the delivery of its mental health services. This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows GCB's substantial conformance to the CARF standards.

All GCB services utilize nationally recognized “best practice” interventions including: Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment for persons with both mental illness and substance abuse issues; and the Wellness Management and Recovery Model for the total person, mind, body and lifestyle.
